Experienced professionals led by Peter Caven, a hands-on senior consultant with 35 years of business experience.

Unlike large international search firms, Caven & Associates offers the hands-on personal service of an experienced executive and search consultant. Every client, regardless of size, receives the attention and service they expect.

With 16 years experience and 300 search assignment, Peter will quickly isolate, understand and articulate what is distinctive in your culture, and define specific search criteria to find the right match and engage the “A” players.

Once our professional researchers (Holly and George) identify likely candidates, Peter personally contacts each candidate to effectively communicate the opportunity and build trust. Always acting respectfully and professionally as your representative, he uses behavioural interview techniques to further assess each candidate for the competencies and attributes necessary to fit successfully into your company. Peter serves as a trusted intermediary with both client and candidate in the offer negotiation process.

Prior to establishing Caven & Associates in 2002, Peter was a senior member of a boutique executive search firm for five years. Before that, he spent five years in strategy consulting. Peter’s corporate career included operations, strategy and marketing at Canadian Tire Corporation, Petro-Canada and Esso. Peter has a BSc from Bishops University and an MBA from the University of Western Ontario.

Holly, Researcher
Holly has 12 years of experience in research and recruiting and has is an Advanced Certified Internet Recruiter (ACIR) and Certified Social Sourcing Recruiter (CSSR) through AIRS. She specializes in advanced internet candidate sourcing techniques including PowerSearching, FlipSearch, XRay and PeelBack.

George, Researcher
As a professional researcher, George has served corporate and search firm clients for 11 years. George relies primarily on networking and direct contact to identify candidates.
